How to update softcam.key?

I've been reading a lot of threads about updating the key for an EMO.. And as I understand it, I have update the softcam.key placed i /var/keys..

If I import the key and tries to edit it I can see that it is some kind of HEX code?

Like this: (VIACCESS )

V 010C10 0C 770603F734D764DF ;ViaSat Ticket (5°E) key update: 20-03-2004

My problem is that I need to put in the conax key!
The conax key looks like this: (the fil is called .dat?!)

Is there an easier way to update to softcam.key? dreamupdate has not worked the last 4-5 days...

Is there an easier way to update to softcam.key? dreamupdate has not worked the last 4-5 days...

I would like you to download the Conax.Key from the download and place them in /var/keys

This is not as far I know done in the softkam.key you need one file just for the conax.

at the moment I use Radegast emo.. and accorting to this link: http://216.12.210.231/users/satcity/...;threadid=2958 the dir for the keys is /var/keys:
SoftCam.Key &
AutoRoll.Key so how will the emo find the key if it is named conax.key?

In /var/etc/radegast.cfg you have a line called conax file=Conax.Key, so that is wow it will get the file! BE AWARE of the name of the file as it is cAsE SeNsItIvE.

Listen, it all depends on which Image that you use as to what your file is going to be called. Using that traditional emu's like gbox and so on.... I really like this new emu called newcamd. There are only two files that ever need to be edited. One handles Via, Ird, Sec the other handles Con.
