New Version of the Dreambox : How To by Klona

Hi, just put online a new version of the guide with major changes:

Dreambox standard use
Flashwizard 3 use
Rucannon Installation instead of MisterX (Removed)
Detailed part on file sharing (Samba, NFS)
Emu
Addons

This is a beta version, so please do not hesitate to post if you find errors inside.

Only english version at this time, all change part in the main doc are in red.
Pages on Flashwizard and Rucannon are fully new.

Volonteers always welcome to translate to Spanish, Italian, German etc.

Nice work klona_klona, 1 small correction: there is no DreamWizard3, FlashWizard3 is the correct name.

"Then copy tools.tar.gz to /tmp on your Dreambox, and copy both flash_setup.so and flash_setup.cfg to /var/tuxbox/plugins. Then press the yellow button of the remote and choose Dreamflash Setup, then choose to install other image on USB or on HDD."

I belive tools.tar.gz is to be copied to /var/tuxbox/plugins as well with dreamflash 1.4
dont shoot me if my memory fails me...

Concerning dreamflash, it's /tmp for the tools.tar.gz and flash_setup.so and flash_setup.cfg to /var/tuxbox/plugins. So I am right

I used your first guide when I first started, even before I'd received my first Dreambox. It gave me a real head start.

dreamflash 1.4 is /var/tuxbox/pugins for all three files.
based on my own experience and dreamflash readme:

Running the Setup:
Copy the 3 files (tools.tar.gz, dreamflash.cfg, dreamflash.so) to "var/tuxbox/plugins". Now just start the plugin by pressing
the blue button. Restart Box and check if everything went right.

Humm. You are right. 1.4 is different for the install...

Hi All

Please note the new remote labeling of the buttons.
This was very confusing when I was reading ALL the help files on this forum!

As you can see the buttons are labeled differently!

When I was looking at the install/user instructions of 99.9% of the threads it was revering to buttons that are labeled differently on the new boxes.
