does any body know what type of smart cards foxtel use

If you are wanting to know whether your Foxtel card is a Gold, Silver, Emerald, etc then sorry but you are on the wrong path. These type of cards are just simple emulators that return the correct details when asked by the box - REAL smartcards as supplied by the providers are far more complex and contain their own proprietary chips and code.

I'm pretty sure copying your Foxtel card is not legal, so I wouldn't recommend it....

But generally speaking....

Elvis is a popular programmer commonly used to read and write cards. There are lots of tuorials around describing how to use it. I'd suggest you have a go reading the tutorials here;

Otherwise you risk getting torn to shreds by the experienced forum members for asking basic questions without reading tutorials first.
