prov id and hsn

is the prov id and hsn independent to one card or can it be on other cards because I have a couple of sellers cards the hsn and prov id are the same but the hmk and pmk are different and from two different sources

i think there are 256 cards in a group that could all have the same HSN.

You may find that the PMK may be made up. That is... with the next EMK hit the card will crash because it doesn't relate back to the HSN which is where the EMK is sent by the providers

Mmmmm some confusion here I think 8O 8O
For a card to work correctly it must have:
A matched HSN PriD and HMK'
If these are not matched then the card cannot calculate the next EMK into the correct PMK and no picky's.
You can mix and match these to get pictures but only until the next EMK.
This is a practice commonly used by sellers to get the buyer to bring the card back when it dies so he can fix it for a small fee of course.....
But with the EMK's comming down on a 4 week basis now it has Stuffed them Big time

8O You are 100% correct.
Each card should have its own HSN and HMK the First two bytes of the Provid id is the group the last is the individual card.
3 Bytes for the HSN gives over 16 million card HSN's available.
