Hi... the elevation is the angel how much your dish is tilted backwards....
(mabye also forward if you are looking for a sat near the horizon)
If you setup your dish towards a sat that lies near or the best on the
longitud there you live, you will directed your dish at the azimuth 0 deg
and set the right elevation on your dish. You will get a clear picture..
(check so that the motor are in the middel of min and max)
Now you are in the middel of the geostationary orbit, from where you live.
The azimuth and elevation, polarisation for the other sat will automatically be right if you have installed your dish correct
The fastening of the motor must be leveled (this is VERY importent) else
you will miss the geostationary orbit when moving the dish around
