How do I load on enigma files to a DreamboxDM500c.

There are several ways to copy enigma settings files to your Dreambox:

- ordernary FTP program
- DCC (Dreambox Control Centre)

Download the settings files, unpack them on your PC and then FTP them over to your Dreambox directory /var/tuxbox/config/enigma

Then reboot

No you can not use Dreamup
DreamUp only allows to send complete firmware images to the unit!

If you want to FTP the files I recommend Totalcommander but most probably DCC is the best for you as a newbie.
Hit the search button and search for DCC, download it and off you go
