No, deleting your own posts is not permitted to avoid confusion.
In past times members have replied to posts only to find the original one has dissapeared (usually to avoid embarresment) - while this is most annoying for those that spend the time to reply, it can also be downright difficult for others to follow the thread with bits missing.
If you have a genuine reason why one of your posts needs deleting then please contact one the Mod/Admin staff.
