As you may have noticed, the forum had been down for approximately 24 hours from the 12th of Sept 2004.
The issue is a bug within vbulletin which corrupts the language and settings files of vbulletin.
As I did not have access to my office (gf had my key) and my laptop battery was dead - I had to recover the files with an emule version of vbulletin which is not the EXACT correct version of our board. So far so good.
In the next few days during our least busiest periods I will update the board to the latest version which should not see this error occur again.
You may notice the board get bogged down now and again. I had updated our mySQL (database server) to the latest version, but it doesn't seem to be using all of our servers processors, I will also fix this over the next few days.
Admin's explaination is certainly authoritative, but having three notorious sites down at the same time that a well-known operator takes countermeasures also opens the door to conspirational theories...

with the huge spikes in traffic which is associated with new images releases, nano changes etc many forums DO go down.
It is quite plausable that the other forums went down because of the huge traffic spike.
