Just use an extra old pc and install Linux slackware 10, install cardserver software. And plugin a phoenix programmer at 3.5mhz com 1.
Why? You can share with everyone and not having your db 24/7.
Just put in your card in phoenix interface. DB works as client. Its so easy as riding a bike!
You can experiment with your db but have your card 24/7 to share!
In home use only offcourse
