Failed HMK extraction of 1.9 sub (tried forever)

Hi, I using a Duron 1200 256 MB DDRAM WinXP computer, using the Jaycar Phoenix Programmer.

I have a F*XT*L sub card identified as "IRDETO ACS V1.9" in FMCard400. I have been through all of the tutorials and remedies for extracting the HMK out of a 1.9 sub card using fmcard400 and ird2calc (both downloaded from your files section) but still have serious problems no matter what i do. I've outlined the errors i have been getting below:

At 6Mhz in fmcard400 Method 2 (programmer also set to 6Mhz):
After about 15 seconds, the "From Card" light lights up and stays lit for a while, then

"Card Error" lights up red. A message comes up: "Internal Error. Process aborted at step16." The program then disconnects.

At 6Mhz in fmcard400 Method 1 (programmer also set to 6Mhz):
After about 2 seconds, the "Internal Error. Process aborted at step0" message comes up.

At 3.5Mhz in fmcard400 Method 2 (programmer also set to 3.5Mhz):
Very slow but when the card errors came up (three times) the program still continued to run. I left it alone until the status bar filled up to the end, then a message box came up. It said something about Exceeded FF value. Would you like to try 00 again. (Something like that). I pressed yes and after a long time the status bar filled up again, then gave the same message as before about FF and 00.

At 3.5Mhz in fmcard400 Method 1 (programmer also set to 3.5Mhz):
After about 2 seconds, the "Internal Error. Process aborted at step0" message comes up.

Below are the settings i used:

Programmer Settings:
COM Port: Com-1
Programmer: 6 Mhz (Also tried 3.5 Mhz)
Invert [not checked]
Delay: 0

Program Flow:
Ignore Card Errors [checked]
Reset card after each CRD [not checked]
Read Card after "r0" [checked]
Disconnect after a Gold W/R process [checked]
Rx Timeout: 1

Misc:
Allow "Exit" if "Connected" [not checked]
Separate Bytes [checked]
Always Reset Programmer CRD Window [not checked]
Use Shift Level Byte (use it in all functions) [not checked]
Use second "HMK Dump" method [checked] (Also tried first method)
Enabled File Logging [checked]

I also tried using ird2calc 1.25 i can connect then the program starts running. Initially, the HMK displays 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 then after running a few minutes, most of the hex values change to something static except for the 6th hex value which stays at 00 and the program seems to be looping infinity. The HMK stayed at XX XX XX XX XX 00 XX XX XX XX where XX were some hex values. I left it alone for 6 hours and the program
was still looping and outputing the same kind of junk in the message window.

Another thing. When the ProviderID-00 date changes, does that affect the extraction of the HMK? Otherwise do i have to stick the sub card back in the decoder then take it out and try extracting the HMK for every attempt i make?

I can get the ASCII serial, hexserial, provid-00, date-00, provid-10, date-10 and the coco but cannot get the hmk no matter what i try.

I've also tried using FMCard400 in Win98SE (Second Edition) and still get the same problems as above. Maybe i should try windows 95. hah

Even tried changing the Com-1 port settings in device manager:
Bits per second: 9600
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None

Advanced settings for Com-1:
Use FIFO buffers [checked]
Receive Buffer: High (14) All the way to the right
Transmit Buffer: High (16) All the way to the right

Any helps please? Thanks.

Heard.
