Enigmanet

Hi everybody,

I'm an happy user of 2Gether Stormbreaker DM7020 v.2 image. A great image. But, since I've activated the enigmanet support in the expert settings menu, each time I boot or reset my db, it generates an IP conflict in my network (all the equipments in my local network (1 pc + 1 db + 1 router) have statics IP's (dhcp disabled)).

Do you know something about this curious problem.

Thanks beforehand,

Rawette

Re: Enigmanet

I had similar problem with gemini few months ago. Similar config as yours (fixed ip, no dhcp).
I upgraded router software and the problem gone

p.s: At that time, I didn't had problems with other images (ru, sdt).

Re: Enigmanet

Asatuser,

Many thanks for your reply.
It seems that I have found something. My local IP for my DB is 192.168.1.42. I have opened a telnet session and typed the command /var/bin/enigmanet.. and curiously I received the following answer : [enigmanet] ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.40 netmask 255.255.255.0 up ... Unfortunately, this adress was my pc's Ip ant that is the reason of the IP conflict.
I do not know why enigmanet assign this adress to the DB. Nevertheless, when the boot procedure is compleated my db has his correct IP.
Now, I have changed my pc's IP to 192.168.1.41 and all is now ok.

Regards,

Re: Enigmanet

I also have this IP conflict problem, with both gemini 2.8 and 2.9 . It seems to be related to mounted shares. the conflict doesnt happen when I change the mount IP to something other than my PC. Anyone know a solution to this.?
