Ronaldd made a setup plugin for the original DM7020 image. With this plugin you can add extra's like emu's in the original image and still run it smootly and stable.
Here under you find a small howto to set this up for the original Dream Multimedia images.
Be shure you know some basics of windows, how to setup a network and how to flash an image into the Dm7020 dreambox.
Download always the latest original image from:

At this moment of writing:

Setup the image following the guide on
http://www.dm7020.de
You can flash the image by using the webinterface or a Compact Flash card.
Let the box search on your most common satellite you use to be shure all works after flashen and setting it up.
Also deselect the option -Use HTTP authentification- in the Advanced Settings to be sure you have no problems reloading your channelsettings.
For me I also select the -Hide error windows-.
Setup your network.
Download the Ronaldd Setup Plugin at the botton of this topic and unpack it.
Make an FTP-connection with your dreambox:
for example
FTp://192.168.1.9 (this must be your IP address)
Username: root
Password: (let it empty)
Upload the setup plugin (these are the files setup7020.cfg and setup7020.so) to your dreambox in the directory:
FTP://192.168.1.9/usr/lib/tuxbox/plugins
Press the blue button for the plugins (when you have no channels settings in your box yet, first press the video buton twice) and start the -DM7020 Setup Plugin-.
Go to plugins -Package Manager-.
Answer -Yes- to install the plugin package.
Wait until all download feeds are downloaded.
Press the -Close- option as it appears.
Now you leave the plugin because it's updated since the last time.
Activate the plugin again and selecteer -Upgrade to Ronaldd image- and confirm it with -Yes-
Go back to the -Package Manager- and select -Update package database-. Wait again untill all downloads are complete and press -Close-.
Select -Upgrade all packages-
This process will take sevaral minutes. Wait until -Close- appears.
During the proces Enigma will be restarted to activate all updates.
After the restart press the blue button.
Setup Plugin will show up and you go to the Package Manager.
Choose again -Update package Database- and press -close- wheb the update is finished.
Go to -Install/remove packages-
There is a small bug in the plugin, now there will be first a list with all official updates.
Press [..] to go one step ahead.
Now Select [ronaldd]
Go to [base] and download -Compat7000-
This package makes a directory /var_compat so you can use the extras on the box. Press -install- and wait for a moment. Press -close- when finished.
Go one step back using [..].
Now you can install all wanted packages at the same way.
Now you don't have to reflash your box again. It all can be done using the package database. Just update the database and upgrade the pachage you want!
Post here the packages you mis, including the package self or a link to it. Then it's up to Ronaldd to insert it to the package database.
